FAQs

Does Tinewa fit standard U.S. doors?

Yes. Tinewa locks fit doors 1-3/8" to 1-3/4" thick with adjustable latch spacing.

Can I install without special tools?

Absolutely. Just a screwdriver is enough.

What backset (latch distance) do they support? How do I adjust the latch length?

Latches are adjustable 2-3/8" or 2-3/4" (60/70 mm). Measure from the door edge to the center of the hole and set the latch to match. Tinewa latches have a slide or pull-to-extend mechanism. Press the adjuster tab/collar and slide to the longer/shorter position until it clicks. Recheck that the spindle turns freely before installing.

Are the locks available in multiple finishes?

Yes - matte black, satin nickel, gold, and more depending on the product line.
